CLASS DESCRIPTION

As a parent, you often encounter many stressors and chaos throughout the day, leaving your brain triggered and vulnerable to negative reactions.  For many parents, they desire to model healthy emotional regulation to their children, but the stress that builds up often leads to a less than desirable impulsive response. Unique Footprints Mindful Mother 6-week series can help you stop, think, and choose a more skillful response. Mindful parenting is a philosophy, not a specific technique or behavioral intervention to be used on a child. You’ll learn how to lower your stress level, alter your thinking, and decrease impulsive responses; ultimately improving your relationship with your child and increasing parental joy. This program will teach you an array of mindfulness techniques, psychological coping skills, and relaxation training so that you can find a practice that is personal, meaningful, and doable in your every day, busy life.

WHAT TO BRING

Towel, bottle of water and a yoga mat.  Once you register, you’ll have access to your member portal and your electronic medical consent form which is required prior to class participation, both you and your physicians signature is required.  You and your physician will also be able to include any special restrictions on the consent form.  Our goal is to always keep you safe!
