Tummy time.jpeg

Repeat after me - tummy time is fun, tummy time is fun!

With the right attitude, this can become an easy and enjoyable activity for the whole family.

Ideally, tummy time should be done in short increments 5-6 times a day. Read baby’s cues - no torture tummy time!

Daily activities:

  • Towel drying/lotion after bath

  • Burping over parent’s lap

  • Playing “airplane”

  • On the floor for playtime

Safety tips:

  • Always within parent’s eyesight

  • Use a firm surface

  • Awake and alert

When should I start tummy time?

Tummy time begins on day one, you can do lots of skin to skin.
